It was World Book Day at Dan’s School today.  They had the option to go as a character from a book.  I asked Dan if he wanted to dress up – I wasn’t sure that he’d go for it.  There was no doubt in his mind that he would … “to the dressing up box – let’s go!”  Most of the clothes are getting too small for him now but we were able to put together a rather nifty Captain Flinn of Captain Flinn & the Pirate Dinosaurs books.  We used an  embroidered gold & black Disney princess gown – this made a great looking long pirate coat.  This was held together with one of my belts – the over sized buckle was perfect.  This was topped off with a bandanna and a pirate hat.  Finally he had a cutlass neatly tucked into his belt.
